Your exciting journey kicks off with a welcome meeting scheduled for 6pm, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet your tour leader and fellow travelers.

If you happen to arrive early. You might want to explore the vibrant and colorful old quarter, meandering through its charming array of shops and cafés. Alternatively, consider visiting the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, which show wide range of Vietnamese art, spanning from ancient to contemporary pieces.

Tonight, gather with your tour leader and your small group for a welcome dinner at a beautifully adorned restaurant, reminiscent of a traditional Vietnamese house. Immerse yourself in the enticing world of Vietnamese cuisine as your leader introduces you to a variety of classic dishes crafted from the freshest local ingredients.

The transfer upon arrival is applicable exclusively if you arrive on Day 1 or if you have made pre-trip accommodation arrangements through our services. Attending the welcome meeting is of utmost importance, as this is when we will be collecting insurance details and information about your next of kin. You can also inquire at the reception or check for a notice in the lobby for precise details regarding the meeting’s location.

Today’s travel will take about 3.5 hours. You can leave your main luggage at the Hanoi hotel.

Surprise Cave is accessed via stairs; the pathways inside can be somewhat uneven and slippery, so it’s advisable to wear sturdy walking shoes or sandals. Swimming in the bay from the boats is not allowed as per local regulations.

Your junk-style boat features twin-share cabins with en suite facilities and air conditioning. Since there are limited cabins, there’s no single supplement, and you’ll share accommodation with a fellow traveler.

Halong Bay has restrictions on overnight boats. Occasionally, you may stay on a larger boat (with up to 12 cabins) and share it with another group. Alternatively, your group might be split across different vessels, each with a group leader. Rest assured, the route and inclusions on board will remain the same.

Start your day with a serene breakfast and consider participating in some Tai Chi exercises on the boat before heading back to Hanoi.

In the afternoon. Immerse yourself in the rich flavors of Vietnam with our Egg Coffee Making class. Delight in a cyclo tour that will take you through the heart of the city, offering a unique perspective on its vibrant culture and bustling streets.

This morning, your tour leader will guide you through Hanoi’s captivating blend of tradition and modernity. Explore this dynamic city as your leader provides insights about the Temple of Literature, an oasis of tranquility nestled in the city center. You’ll also visit the renowned Hoa Lo Prison, famously known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” which housed American POWs.

For lunch, embark on a unique culinary journey at the wonderful restaurant, a social enterprise that not only offers a creative menu of dishes made with local ingredients but also provides hospitality training and opportunities for at-risk and underprivileged youth in Vietnam.

In the afternoon, bid farewell to Hanoi as you catch a flight south to Danang. Continue your journey to Hoi An, taking in the picturesque landscapes along the way. Upon arriving in Hoi An in the late afternoon, settle into your boutique accommodation. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy, perhaps by taking advantage of your hotel’s inviting pool.

Your knowledgeable leader will provide insights into the city’s rich history as you meander through streets adorned with pagodas, visit a Chinese assembly hall, cross the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, explore the lavishly adorned historic residence of a former trader, and peruse a local museum.

Hoi An, once a bustling trading port for pottery, still retains centuries-old pottery villages. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience Vietnam’s renowned coffee culture. Your leader will lead you to a local coffee establishment, where you can indulge in a delightful coffee of your choice while observing the lively ambiance of Hoi An. Consider trying a traditional egg coffee, where condensed milk and egg white transform this caffeinated drink into a frothy delicacy, or opt for a refreshing coconut coffee.

In the afternoon, make your way back to Danang and catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and savor an evening at your leisure. The bustling food stalls at  Ben Thanh market may entice you with the enticing scents of pho and bun mam, offering a delicious culinary experience.

The flight today lasts about 1 hour, and the journey to the airport takes approximately 1 hour as well. It’s worth noting that the rooms at the Ramada hotel, and generally in Ho Chi Minh City due to the architectural style and central location, tend to be on the smaller side.

Depart the city and venture to the nearby Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network initially dug by the Viet Minh and later expanded by the Viet Cong. Accompanied by your leader, you’ll enter a widened section of the tunnels, gaining insight into the underground way of life and learning about their multifaceted purposes, which included hospitals, housing, schools, refuge, storage, and functioning as a military base for the Viet Cong.

Upon returning to Ho Chi Minh City, embark on a guided tour of this dynamic urban center, where the vibrant tapestry of daily life unfolds on its bustling streets. Your leader will lead you to the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace and the historic site of South Vietnam’s surrender in 1975. Following this, you’ll visit the War Remnants Museum, offering poignant insights into the country’s wartime history.

In the evening, consider spending quality time with your fellow travelers and savoring a final dinner at a local restaurant. Your leader will be well-equipped with fantastic dining recommendations.
